Nothing more decadent than this

Who doesn't love chocolate chip cookies? My soul recipe searching come to end this morning when I found this..simple but yet delicious. With help from my little Chef, we weighed, we stirred (with the help of the mixer of course) and we baked the cookies together.

What a way to spend Wednesday morning just him and me.

Cream together the butter, white and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in egg one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in hot water, add to batter along with salt. Stir in flour and chocolate chips. Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans.

Bake for about 15 minutes in the preheated oven or until edges are nicely brown.

* A commenter suggested to add 1/2 spoon of cream of tartar to make the cookie crack for better appearance, i didn't add as I don't have it
