Help...

The title got nothing to do with the content of the post that I'm going to write today. Blame it to Beatles as I'm listening to them while trying to concentrate on this post.

The smell of the falafel baking in the oven envelope the house. Hmm...falafel with some freshly shredded lettuce, tomatoes and drizzle with yogurt tahini sauce. Can't wait for dinner tonight.

I found the recipe while looking for "healthy" option for making falafel. Most people know that falafel are deep fried chickpeas balls, not baked, sacré! I just can't bear the smell of frying specially at night as it will linger for couple of hours inside the house.

Ingredients for Baked Falafel:
2 cans of chickpeas/garbanzo beans - drain
1 handfull of fresh parsley and coriander
1 tbsp ground cumin
2 garlic cloves
1 medium size onion
3 tbsp flour
1 tsp baking powder
Salt to taste

Combine all the ingredients in a food processor. Blend until it become a smooth but thick paste. Form the mixture into a small patties.

Pre-heat oven at 200°C and bake for about 30 minutes, prolonged the baking if needed and turn the patties few times.

Serve warm with flat bread, shredded lettuce, slice tomatoes and yogurt tahini sauce.

Yogurt Tahini Sauce
(Original Recipe from : Yogurt-Tahini Sauce from Kalyn's Kitchen)
1 cup of greek yogurt or any kind of thick yogurt
2 tbsp tahini (sesame paste)
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
Pinch of cumin
1 tbsp lemon juice ( I didn't put any)

Put all the ingredients in a bowl, mix all the ingredients and serve with the falafel
