Over - mix!

There is a day when you should just stay on the bed, for me unfortunately it's happened today.

Must be over enthusiast about the new macaron that I suppose to make today. Over-mix can really spoil the macaron. I should have known..


.....Dear macaron, though you only have very visible tiny feet and almost flat, don't worry, we will still love eat you

Oh heck, this black sesame macaron still a delish eventhough it doesn't have feets or flat..the nutty taste of this little gems are excellent plus black sesame is good for health! It rich with magnesium, iron, calcium and also good to fight the cholesterol... 



Black Sesame Macaron

Ingredients:
125g icing sugar
90g almond meal
35 g black sesame powder - toasted and grind it finely
125 g caster sugar
34 g water

Method:
*Use the basic recipe here
*Just combine the almond meal and black sesame powder together and sift

Black Sesame Buttercream:
140 g butter, softened
280 g icing sugar
1 tbsp fresh milk or cream
2 tbsp black sesame powder

Beat butter for a few minutes with a mixer on a medium speed. Add sugar little by little and turn the mixer to the slowest speed, mix it until sugar has been incorporated with butter. Add black sesame powder and increase the speed, add milk, beat again for few more minutes.
